Q: Can tweaking my system improve the performance?
A: Yes. Tweaking will make minor changes to your system performance. There is no way it could turn a 800 MHz Celeron machine into a 1 GHz Athlon machine. However, tweaking allows optimizing your system for the tasks you run most often, while cutting CPU and RAM expenses on the tasks you are unlikely to perform.
Q: Can tweaking my system decrease the performance?
A: Yes. Tweaking will make minor changes to your system performance. Tweaking allows optimizing your system for the tasks you run most often, while cutting CPU and RAM expenses on the tasks you are unlikely to perform. For instance, if you tweak your system for maximum visual quality, the drawing speed of some visual elements may decrease.
Q: Can tweaking my system damage it?
A: No. Advanced XP Tweak does not include any potentially dangerous utilities. It contains numerous tweaks that affect your system performance and change its appearance.
Q: I changed a few system settings and several start menu settings. Then I pressed Save and restarted the system. After my computer restarted I discovered that the system settings were not applied. What is wrong?
A: The Save button will only save settings from the currently selected section. This is being done for safety reasons in order to minimize the danger of applying mistakenly changed settings.
Q: Will there be future updates to Advanced XP Tweak?
A: Absolutely. We will be adding more tweaks and utilities, improve usability, and so on.
